Meet Sony’s 3D Solution for Microsurgery

Finding room in your budget for new technology is never easy. Medical organizations know they need to continually upgrade to the state-of-the-art, but the investments in time and money can be challenging. But what if you could bring the latest technology affordably to your practice? And what if the manufacturer was not only a leader in imaging and medical device technology, but a name that you already know and trust?

That’s the benefit Sony’s 3D solution for microsurgery can deliver. This end-to-end solution is an extraordinary package of 3D video products. Designed specifically for ophthalmic applications, this technically advanced, medically compliant 3D camera system works with most microscopes to capture, record, and display 3D video in the OR.

Now everyone can see what the primary surgeon is viewing through the microscope during a procedure, improving workflow in the OR. Surgeons can record difficult cases and share new surgical techniques with colleagues, students and other clinicians for training and education purposes. Doctors can also share 3D video of procedures to help prepare and educate their patients prior to surgery. Family members in the patient waiting room can even watch the surgery in real time as it is being performed.

A Solution for Every Need

With Sony’s 3D Solutions for Microsurgery medical teams can capture, record, view and edit – all in HD and 3D. The system comprises cameras, recorders and monitors.

davinci 33-HR-SonyMonitor smIt all begins with the MCC-3000MT 3D Camera System. Sony’s HVO-3000MT 2D/3D Medical Grade HD Video Recorder records in both 1080p/60p, and features simultaneous and instantaneous recording to multiple media outputs (Blu-ray™, DVD, USB and network storage). It can stream full HD video to any network location you choose, and can easily and seamlessly switch between 2D and 3D capture and recording. It is engineered to be simple, compact and easy to use.
