Lower Madison – Thu, Nov 14th

The river is green with good visibility for fishing. The cold snap this weekend could slow things down, but fishing has been good the lastFins and Feathers few days. Nymphing has been most productive with worms, eggs, mayfly and midge patterns. There have been rising fish in slow water up in the beartrap during the afternoon. They have been keyed in on baetis emergers along with some of the duns. Streamer fishing is slowing, but smaller streamers stripped slow or swung through buckets has been getting a few.
